The hospice benefit is 100% covered under the patients Medicare Part A benefit or any private insurance that has a Medicare Advantage Plan.

When is hospice appropriate?

The hospice conversation should be initiated when a significant decline in the patient's overall health and well-being is foreseen or noticeable. Our nursing team will perform an evaluation that consists of a review of the patient's medical history and a physical assessment to determine the patient's appropriateness based off of Medicare criteria and guidelines.
